摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit friction when transmitting driving force and to secure high durability with a compact constitution in a variable valve system. SOLUTION: A diameter of a first roller 170 contacting a driving cam surface 124 of a camshaft 120 is formed in a diameter larger than a diameter of a second roller 172 contacting a sliding surface 156 of a rocking member 150. The first roller 170 and the second roller 172 are independently rotatably connected by a connecting shaft 174. The sliding surface 156 is formed to curve toward the driving cam side so that the distance from the center of the cam shaft 120 becomes larger as the distance from the rocking center of the rocking member 150 becomes larger. In rocking cam surfaces 152a, 152b for pressing a valve 104 toward the direction of lifting a valve 104, a non-working surface 152a wherein the distance from the rocking center of the rocking member 150 is constant and a working surface 152b wherein the distance from the rocking center of the rocking member 150 becomes gradually larger toward the tip thereof are formed.
