Use of a combination of two vitamin compounds, i.e. riboflavin (also known as vitamin B<SUB>2</SUB>) and nicotinic acid (also referred to as niacin) or, as an alternative thereto, the corresponding amide, i.e. niacinamide or nicotinamide (also known as vitamin PP) for the treatment of various forms of primary headache, such as classical migraine or migraine with an aura, common migraine or migraine without an aura, complicated migraine and cluster headache or histamine headache. The invention also concerns compositions for the treatment of primary headaches which are based on the two aforesaid active ingredients.
