<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an energy-saving chlorine production method, a chlorine production apparatus, and a heat exchanger in a process for producing gaseous chlorine by oxidizing a hydrogen chloride gas. <P>SOLUTION: The chlorine production method is a chlorine production method for producing gaseous chlorine by oxidizing a hydrogen chloride gas and comprises a mixed gas production step of producing a mixed gas containing chlorine and oxygen by oxidizing the hydrogen chloride gas, a chlorine purification step of introducing the mixed gas into a chlorine rectification tower 106 where the mixed gas is distilled to be separated into liquid chlorine and impurity gases, and a vaporization step of vaporizing the liquid chlorine, wherein in the vaporization step, a single heat exchanger 200 performs heat exchange between two of the heat sources used in the method for producing the liquid chlorine and the chlorine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
