PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus, and the log management method and program of the image forming apparatus, for storing an audit log as the use history of the use of an image forming apparatus without omission.

SOLUTION: Whether or not the audit log storage capacity of a storage means 12 for storing an audit log has reached a predetermined reference value is determined by a determination means 15, and the use of the image forming apparatus by an access user is limited in accordance with the determined result and an identification result from an identification means 14 which identifies the attributes of the access user.
