<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a data processing environment required by each user. <P>SOLUTION: In a data processor, a controller 6 obtains certification information from an IC card, and judges whether a multifunction device 1 is to be utilized based on the obtained certification information. When the controller judges that the device is to be utilized, data to be processed and application programs to carry out predetermined processing of the data are obtained from the IC card so that a data processing environment is configured by executing the obtained application programs.
