PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protective film which is also applicable to building materials, building exterior, vehicles, and the like, exerts good cohesiveness and water resistance in terms of building and building exterior, and exerts good protectiveness in terms of vehicle. SOLUTION: The protective film is characterized by containing (A) a synthetic resin solid content, (B-1) one, two or more types of addition product selected from among an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide block type addition product of acetylene glycol represented by general formula (1) and acetylene glycol represented by general formula (2) and an ethylene oxide/propylene oxide random addition product of acetylene glycol represented by general formula (3), (B-2) polyoxyalkylene alkyl ether represented by the following formula (4) R<SP>7</SP>O(C<SB>3</SB>H<SB>6</SB>O)<SB>v</SB>(C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>4</SB>O)<SB>w</SB>(C<SB>3</SB>H<SB>6</SB>O)<SB>x</SB>(C<SB>2</SB>H<SB>4</SB>O)<SB>y</SB>(C<SB>3</SB>H<SB>6</SB>O)<SB>z</SB>H(4), and one, two or more types of mixture selected from sulfur-containing surfactants. According to the present invention, the protective film that exerts good water resistance and cohesiveness in terms of building material and building exterior and is excellent in protectiveness against scratches, for example, in terms of vehicle.
