PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce impact by transfer including the case of dropping of a portable terminal and to reduce probability that the portable terminal is destroyed or breaks down. SOLUTION: The portable terminal has an acceleration detection means (acceleration sensor 6) which detects acceleration and a buffer material output means (protection control part 20) for outputting a buffer material (cushion 1) provided inside a casing to the outside of the casing based on the detected acceleration (an acceleration detection part 30). The buffer material output means (protection control part 20) reduces the impact given to the casing by outputting the buffer material (cushion 1) from a corner of the casing to the outside.
