PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a protection hood for wheelchairs and a wheelchair with the protection hood capable of protecting a user from rain, wind and snow, sunshine and the like simply, favorably protecting the user from a falling object from an upper part and providing an assistant pushing the wheelchair with a superior front visual field. SOLUTION: This protection hood is provided with an impact-resistant top plate 21 and supports 22a, 22b, 22c and 22d; the supports are erected from a wheelchair body 10, and the top plate is attached to the upper parts of the supports.
