PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tool for attaching and detaching an insect pest control member, which simply installs an insect pest control member on a place that cannot be reached directly by hand, and can readily remove and recover the insect pest control member, installed at a location that cannot be reached directly by hand. SOLUTION: The tool 1 for attaching and detaching an insect pest control member is equipped with a grip part 20, which is arranged at one end of a handle part 10 and grips the insect pest control member 100. The grip part 20 has a first support part 25 for supporting the substantially ring-shaped surface of the insect pest control member 100 and a second support part 26 for supporting the tip of the insect return part 106 of the insect pest control member 100. While the first insect pest control part 101 of the insect pest control member 100, formed in a gap between a free end 111 and a free end 112, is gripped by the first support part 25 and the second support part 26; the inside wall of the first insect pest control part 101 is pressed against a leg part 200 that is inserted into the opening part 110 of the insect pest control member 100 so that by making the free end 111 engage with the free end 112, and the insect pest control member 100 is installed on the leg part 200.
