#CMT# #/CMT# The device (10) has a display screen (16) e.g. navigation system screen, taking an open position to display information on a lower face (14) of the device, and a closed position in a housing in a fascia (1) of a vehicle. An upper part (12) of the device is placed in an extension of the fascia. The device is placed on a part of the fascia that comprises another display device (20) that is masked for a user, when the device is in the open position. The device is mounted pivoting on the fascia. The open and closed positions are obtained in a manual and/or automated manner. #CMT#USE : #/CMT# Device for displaying information e.g. vehicle speed, fuel gauge level, oil gauge, kilometrage, clock and radiator temperature, to a driver of a motor vehicle, and for being retractably placed in a fascia of the motor vehicle. #CMT#ADVANTAGE : #/CMT# The display device is designed such that the display screen displays the information for the driver, when the device is in the open position and another display device is not accessible, so that the driver does not miss the information required for better driving of the vehicle. The device is mounted on the part of the fascia comprising another display device, thus providing a gain of place on the fascia. The device can be positioned on any part of the fascia, so that the positioning of the device is optimized such that the display screen is visible to the driver.
