<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device which can reduce a working load required for checking by checking to see whether an error exists or not in ID information on a subject person inputted by an inspecting person without adding a special device for identifying the subject himself. <P>SOLUTION: The image pickup device retrieves and extracts previous retinal images with identifying information the same as that attached to the retinal image to be analyzed from an image data base and calculates the degree of similarity between the images to judge whether the subject persons photographed and actually identified with the retinal images are the same or not based on the degree of similarity, thereby making the inspecting person confirm the degree of similarity and the result of judgment. The identification of the subject person himself from the degree of similarity of the retinal images is easier for the inspecting person than the re-confirmation of numbers alone in the ID information by himself, thereby reducing a burden on the working of checking for errors in the input of the ID information. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
