APPARATUS FOR MEASURING COMPRESSIVE FORCE OF FLEXIBLE LINEAR ELEMENT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring apparatus capable of detecting the presence of an obstruction in an inner tube part on the side of an outer tube part when a linear element to be inserted in a tube is to be operated.

SOLUTION: It is possible to provide a user-friendly measuring apparatus 2 capable of measuring a compressive force in a longitudinal axis direction acting on a linear element having a sheath thicker than the linear element such as a wire in which a coil for embolizing an aneurysm is attached to its tip without need to lower measurement precision. It is possible to implement a compact measuring apparatus 2 with the length of restricting parts 5 and 6 as a minimum limitation. Since it is further possible to provide a measuring apparatus 2 capable of measuring a compressive force in a longitudinal axis direction acting on a linear element regardless of the size of buckling load of the linear element and to adapt the same measuring apparatus 2 to linear elements having various types of shape and material, the measuring apparatus 2 is economical.
