摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a drive circuit, an electro-optical device, an electronic apparatus, and a driving method, capable of reducing a lay-out area without lowering accuracy of gradation voltage and reducing the number of gradations. SOLUTION: The drive circuit for driving source lines of the electro-optical device based on j-bits (j: an integer not less than 2) gradation data includes: a gradation voltage generating circuit for supplying 2<SP>k</SP>kinds of gradation voltages which are selected from among 2j kinds of gradation voltages and have continuity of gradation values to each of 2<SP>(j-k)</SP>(0<k<j, k: an integer) pieces of gradation signal lines during one selected period in a time-division manner; a voltage selecting circuit which selects one gradation signal line from among the gradation signal lines based on high order (j - k)-bits data of the gradation data; an output buffer for driving the source lines based on the gradation voltages of the gradation signal lines selected by the voltage selecting circuit; and a switch element for by-passing the input and output of the output buffer.
