PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a post for a protective fence which post reduces manufacturing time and costs, and can be easily adjusted to the slope of an installation surface at an installation site when installed on a sloped place. SOLUTION: The post includes a tabular base 1, and a post portion 2 which is supported on the base 1 and is erected above the base 1. The post portion 1 is provided with a cross bar mounting portion 3 having a flat surface and extending vertically.
