PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a door device of an elevator having door panels opening/closing the entrance of the elevator, and capable of quietly and smoothly operating the door panels without generating noise. SOLUTION: This door device is provided with the door panels 4a and 4b vertically movably suspended by balancing with weights 12a and 12b in terms of weight, and opening/closing the entrance 2 of a car 1 by vertical movement thereof, and a linear motor 15 vertically moving the door panels 4a and 4b. The two door panels 4a and 4b close the entrance 2 by being arranged by shifting the positions thereof forward and backward and in the vertical direction, and open the entrance 2 by the upward movement at distinct speeds of the two door panels 4a and 4b by being respectively driven by the linear motor 15. The linear motor 15 driving the door panels 4a and 4b is composed of a primary coil for a linear motor and a secondary magnetic conductor for a linear motor arranged to face to each other by being separated from each other.
