PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a foam for interior trimming of a vehicle satisfying a required rigidity with a low cost, and its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: A foaming agent, which contains a chemical foaming agent and thermally expansible microcapsules, is added to a polypropylene resin and this polypropylene resin is melted to be supplied in the plate-shaped cavity 3 formed between a pair of molds 1 and 2. Thereafter, the molds 1 and 2 are retracted by a predetermined quantity in the thickness direction of the cavity 3 and the foaming agent is foamed to form a plate-shaped door trim 6. The thickness of the cavity 3 in a mold opening direction when the polypropylene resin is supplied in the cavity 3 is set to 1-1.7 mm and the thickness of the door trim 6 after molding is set to 2.8 mm or above.
