PRODUCTION METHOD OF STRETCHING SHEET

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an efficient production method of a stretching sheet which has a plurality of stretch areas different in stretching characteristics with excellent appearance and an underpants type wearing article using it. SOLUTION: The production method of the stretching sheet includes a process in which a strip sheet 120' with its stretchability growing as it is drawn is pressed between a pair of gear groove rolls 31 and 32 having gear grooves extended axially or circumferentially while being meshed with each other and drawn to make its stretchability grow at least at a part of the strip sheet 120'. The depth of the mesh of the pair of gear groove rolls 31 and 32 is varied partially, thereby forming a plurality of stretch areas 12H and 12L different in stretching characteristics in length or in width of the strip sheet 120'.
