The cutter has a plant inserting grain tank, which opens in a cutting body (2) in which a cutting rotor (3) is rotatively mounted. A packer roller is mounted in upstream of the rotor to forward the vegetation towards the body. The rotor is driven directly by a motor, and the roller is driven by transmission. A primary belt (11) is engaged on a motorized pulley (10) integrated to the rotor and on an auxiliary pulley (12) that is associated in rotation to the roller. The belt (11) is maintained stretched by a belt idler (13) mounted from side of an engine strand of the belt.
