A memory device having a self-copy function, a memory system including the same, and a dual port memory device having the self-copy function are provided to improve operation performance of an application processor in a mobile terminal having the application processor and a baseband processor by permitting the application processor to perform other operations during self-copy operation, which copies data stored in a shared memory area to an exclusive local memory area for the application processor. A memory cell array includes a first and second bank(180,185). A memory interface reads data from a memory area of the first bank corresponding to a source address based on preset self-copy information and writes the read data to the memory area of the second bank corresponding to a target address through a self-copy data path when a self-copy signal is activated by responding to a self-copy request received from the outside. The self-copy information includes the source and target address, a data size, and a flag value, which points a self-copy state by updating the self-copy operation monitored in the memory interface. The memory interface includes a controller(110), a self-copy signal selection circuit(150), and a data I/O(Input/Output) buffer.
