The invention relates to a method for the continuous production of polyether alcohols using DMC catalysts, characterised in that in a first step in a continuously operating reactor, alkylene oxides are added to H-functional starting materials and the discharge from that reactor is fed to a second step in a reactor which is divided by means of sealed floors into sections, referred to as compartments, which are interconnected by means of external conduits, the discharge of the reactor from the first step of the reaction passing through the compartments one after the other. ® KIPO & WIPO 2008
