<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an easy method for producing a siliconized suture needle by which an eye of the needle is prevented from being infiltrated with silicone. <P>SOLUTION: A method for producing a siliconized eyeless suture needle is provided. The method comprises the step of holding an eyeless suture needle 10 by a holding device so that the eye of the needle 12 formed in the proximal part of the needle is oriented downward and the step of applying silicone to the whole outer surface of the eyeless suture needle in such a manner that the inner wall of the eye of the needle is kept being made of a base metal of the eyeless suture needle. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
