<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a color filter capable of forming a uniform transparent protective film on the surface, and to provide a liquid crystal display element. <P>SOLUTION: The method of manufacturing the color filter comprises: a step of forming a light shielding pattern which has an ink-repellent surface layer part on a transparent base plate; a step of forming a colored layer on a region parted by the light-shielding pattern; and a step of reducing an ink-repellent property on an exposed surface of the light shielding pattern by subjecting the exposed surface of the light shielding pattern to surface treatment selected from a group of plasma treatment, ultraviolet ray irradiation and polishing treatment. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
