<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus with a flashing function having a small number of parts, achieving miniaturization and power saving, and also eliminating the need of measures to cope with noise. <P>SOLUTION: A plurality of LEDs are arranged in a camera main body. When a shutter key is half-pressed, the direction of the camera main body detected by a direction sensor is acquired (SD3). Light emission intensity of the respective LEDs corresponding to the direction of the camera main body is read out from a table (SD4). The total emitted light quantity of a flashing device comprising the plurality of LEDs is calculated on the basis of ambient brightness (SD5). The emitted light quantities of the respective LEDs 51 to 68 are calculated on the basis of the calculated total emitted light quantities and the light emission intensity (relative values) of the respective LEDs 51 to 68 read out in the step SD4 (SD6). When the shutter key 8 is fully pressed (step SD7; YES), the respective LEDs 51 to 68 are made to emit light by emitted light quantity calculated in the step SD6 (step SD8) and an image is picked up (step SD9). <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
