PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a receiver which automatically discriminates a type of an antenna and sets a parameter corresponding to drawing-in processing (carrier synchronization processing) based on discriminated information. SOLUTION: In a setting operation, a type of the antenna 1 connected to an antenna connection terminal 2 is discriminated in an antenna automatic discrimination part 8. In this time, the antenna automatic discrimination part 8 measures variation of receiving power of the antenna 1 based on a baseband signal to be a digital signal provided by an AD conversion part 5 and discriminates the type of the antenna 1 by its amount of the variation.
