PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve lubricity, by solving the problems of grease holding performance of a dimple and discharge of the grease stored in the respective dimples, in a ball joint. SOLUTION: A plurality of pocket parts 44 are formed in the peripheral direction on a sliding surface 41 of a ball seat 4 out of an opposed surface 51 separated from the sliding surface 41 of the ball seat 4 and a continuous surface 52 continuing with the sliding surface 41. A large quantity of grease can be efficiently and surely stored in the pocket part 44. Since the grease held by and flowing in the respective pocket parts 44 can be easily discharged to an external part of the pocket part 44 by the continuous surface 52, the lubricity can be improved.
