PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear transmission capable of establishing a gear train between one of both main shafts and a counter shaft in changing a gear change stage in a state that power from a power source is transmitted to another of the pair of the main shafts which alternatively switch power transmission and interruption with a power source, and capable of preventing noise in preliminary transmission with a structure which reduces the number of parts and a required space. SOLUTION: The gear transmission is provided with a single synchro means 116 for providing decelerated or accelerated rotation power to the main shaft, to which the power transmission from the power source is interrupted, out of both of the main shafts 15, 16 in changing the gear change stage.
