PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low thermal conductivity aluminum alloy material in which thermal conductivity can be reduced, and further, deterioration in mechanical properties accompanying the deterioration in the thermal conductivity can be suppressed. SOLUTION: The area ratio of phases other than an Al phase is controlled to the range of 20 to 40%. In this way, based on the fact that the area ratio of the phases other than the Al phase is controlled to≥20%, reduction in its thermal conductivity is attained, and, based on the fact that the area ratio of the phases other than the Al phase is controlled to≤40%, its tensile strength is made higher than the allowable lower limit. Further, a crystallized compound phase is included in the phases other than the Al phase. In this way, utilizing the fact that the crystallized compound phase remarkably contributes to reduction in its thermal conductivity compared with the other constituents in the phases other than the Al phase, under the condition that the volume ratio of the phases other than the aluminum phase to the whole is fixedly held (held to required tensile strength), the thermal conductivity is made lower than that in the case the crystallized compound phase is not included, or, under the condition that the thermal conductivity is held to the low one, the volume ratio of the phases other than the aluminum phase to the whole is made lower than the case where the crystallized compound phase is not included (the improvement of its mechanical properties).
