PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a supercharged air cooler 16 from being contaminated, in an internal combustion engine provided with: devices 13 and 14 for compressing or supercharging a combustion airflow to be supplied to a cylinder of the internal combustion engine; the supercharged air cooler 16 cooling a compressed combustion airflow; and a device 18 for compressing a crank case ventilation gas. SOLUTION: Based on this invention, the compressed crank case ventilation gas is returned toward this internal combustion engine so that the compressed crank case ventilation gas is introduced into a compressed cooled combustion airflow or a supercharged airflow 17 on the downstream side of the supercharged air cooler 16.
