PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase the rigidity to lateral load or the like working on a work device and improve the durability and life by enlarging the space between the right and left vertical plates. SOLUTION: A revolving frame 5 of an upper revolving structure 3 includes a base plate 6 extending right and left over the lateral width W; and longitudinal plates 7, 8 extending longitudinally on both lateral sides of the base plate 6. The front sides of the longitudinal plates 7, 8 are provided with boom brackets 9, 12 rotatably supporting the proximal ends of the boom members 32, 33, and the rear sides are provided with right and left weight mounting parts 22, 23 to which a counterweight 26 is mounted. Even when a lateral load due to digging work is applied from the bucket 35 side to the boom brackets 9, 12 through a left boom member 32 and a right boom member 33, the rigidity of the revolving frame 5 can be heightened by the longitudinal plates 7, 8 largely separated from each other in the lateral direction.
