A fuel cell system including a fuel cell stack (51) having stacked cells (50) for generating electricity by an electrochemical reaction between fuel gas and oxidizing gas and held between a pair of end plates (52) arranged at both ends in the stacking direction of the cells (50), and also including a gas-liquid separator (35) for separating gas and liquid of off-gas discharged from the fuel cell stack (51), wherein the gas-liquid separator (35) is fixed to the end plates (52). Exhaust heat of the fuel cell stack (51) is effectively used to heat the gas-liquid separator (35).
