An apparatus having a controller configured to store, in memory, a set of contact names, each contact name beign associated with one or more account identifiers that identifies a communication protocol for communicating with the contact. The controller is further configured to establish a communication connection to a selected contact via a communication protocol associated witha selected account identifier.
