Apparatus and an associated method for facilitating paging of access term inals by way of a quick page message. A partial identity comparison scheme i s utilized. Identifiers of access terminals that are to be paged in the quic k page message are determined and compared. In the event that the identifier s are of redundant values, the redundant values are removed, thereby to prov ide additional locations in the quick page message that are not redundant fo r use better to page the access terminals that are to be paged.
