PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make a recording sheet hard to be contaminated by reducing the adherence of an ink to a member in a housing by the diffusion of an ink mist in a low cost inkjet printer. SOLUTION: The inkjet printer discharges the ink from a recording head 3a carried in a carriage 2 driven back and forth in a main scanning direction approximately perpendicularly crossing with a sub-scanning direction to a recording sheet P carried in the sub-scanning direction in the housing, and prints an image. Adsorption brushes 20a, 20b having brush parts 21a, 21b of fiber materials are provided in the lower parts of both the side faces of the carriage 2. The ink mist generated near the recording head 3a does not diffuse in the housing by providing the adsorption brushes 20a, 20b. Further, since the ink mist is adsorbed by the adsorption brushes 20a, 20b, the ink hardly adheres to the member in the housing. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
