PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic element that is capable of high-speed response, to provide a current control device that has the electronic element, and to provide an arithmetic device and a display device that have the electronic element or the current control device. SOLUTION: The electronic element comprises: a first electrode layer that is formed on a portion of a substrate; an insulating layer that is formed at least on the first electrode layer; a conductive layer that is formed on the insulating layer formed on an area where the first electrode layer is formed; a second electrode layer that is formed on one side of an area, which does not have the first electrode layer, on the substrate; a third electrode layer that is formed on the other side of the area, which does not have the first electrode layer, on the substrate; and a semiconductor layer that is formed so as to cover the conductive layer.
