PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a projector etc., capable of more flexibly updating data to be projected which are stored in the projector. SOLUTION: The projector 100 includes a communication unit 110; a storage unit 120 which stores data 121 to be initially projected, data 122 to be projected after being updated, layout data 123, etc.; an update request receiver 140 which receives an update request from a PC 200 through the communication unit 110 and writes update request data 125 representing the contents of the update request to the storage part 120 in sequence; an updating unit 150 which updates the data 122 to be projected after being updated according to the update request data 125; a web information generator 130 which makes the communication unit 110 transmit web information to the PC 200 on the basis of the data 122 to be projected after being updated and the layout data 123; an image generator 160 which generates an image on the basis of the data 122 to be projected after being updated; and a projecting unit 190 which projects the image.
