PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable high-quality printing by improving the solvent absorption rate of an absorbing element. SOLUTION: An ink-jet recording device has an ink dropping means which drops ink containing a color material, a treatment liquid providing means which aggregates the color material in the ink so as to provide treatment liquid in which color material aggregates are generated, and an absorbing element which absorbs the solvent in a mixture liquid composed of the ink dropped by the ink dropping means and the treatment liquid provided by the treatment liquid providing means. The surface of the absorbing element has solvent-absorbing bores each of which has a bore diameter wider than the spread width of the color material aggregate in the mixture liquid on the surface of an intermediate an intermediate transferring element or a recording medium.
