PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To create and manage configuration information of firmware as a table and enable easy handling of the configuration information of the firmware in equipment. SOLUTION: When the power of an image formation device is turned on or at every predetermined time interval which is set in advance, a processing is started, the configuration information (module ID and version) of one of various firmware used by the current equipment stored in NV-RAM4 is obtained and stored in the configuration information table in a storage device (step 201, 202). Whether storage of all the firmware to the configuration information has been finished or not is determined. If not finished, it returns to the processing from step 201 to continue the processing. If finished, the processing in this place is finished. As a result, the configuration information of the firmware can be generated as a table. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
