A specific arrangement of the position measuring devices used for positioning enables errors to be prevented to a large extent due to the thermal expansion of said positioning device. In particular, the advantageous arrangement of the fixed point (15) of a scale (8) in relation to a straight spur (14) of an additional scale (10) is observed.
