An overall circumference measuring apparatus for a tire is provided to shorten inspection cycle by automatically obtaining reliable data on the circumference of the tire. An overall circumference measuring apparatus for a tire includes a spindle(3), a laser displacement sensor(4), a laser displacement sensor position controller(5), an encoder(6), an infrared temperature sensor(7), a controller(8), and a communication module(9). The spindle provides the tire with an air pressure and rotates the tire. The laser displacement sensor measures the radius of the rotating tire. The laser displacement sensor position controller controls the position of the laser displacement sensor. The encoder is attached to the spindle, measures the rotation amount of the tire, and samples measured laser displacement. The infrared temperature sensor measures the temperature of the tire. The controller performs low-frequency filtering on the measured laser displacement and calculates the overall circumference of the tire. The communication module receives tire size and temperature data and registers the measured values.
