<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus that can judge the remaining quantity of paper sheets without requiring a means for arithmetic operation etc. to judge the remaining quantity of the paper sheets, and prevent toner and time from being wasted even when the image forming apparatus run out of paper sheets. <P>SOLUTION: A supersonic wave is used to detect not larger than one or two or more sheets of recording paper being left in a recording paper storage means, and when a sheet quantity detecting means detects not larger than one sheet of recording paper being left in the recording paper storage means, a control means controls an image forming means to stop forming a toner image. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
