<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butt joining method for metal sheets where the sticking of spatters is prevented or suppressed, and further, a joined metal sheet having excellent formability can be produced, and to provide a joined metal sheet. <P>SOLUTION: The butt joining method for metal sheets comprises: a laser irradiation stage where the butted part at which metal sheets 1, 2 are butted each other is irradiated with a laser; and a wire feeding stage where wire is fed to the butted part at the laser irradiation stage. Then, as the wire 4 to be fed, using a copper based brazing filler metal, the metal sheets are joined each other by brazing. The copper based brazing filler metal has a chemical composition comprising, by mass, 1 to 10% Si,≤35% Ni,≤15% Al and≤5% Mn, and the balance Cu with inevitable impurities. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
