PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shutter mechanism which can prevent jamming with pachinko balls between the end parts of shutters and the end parts of a ball case and a ball case installing base in the direction of closing the respective shutters when the shutters are closed while enabling the accurate closure of the shutters and a counter. SOLUTION: The shutter mechanism 300 is provided with the ball case 106, the ball case installing base 105 for installing the ball case 106 and a ball case shutter 108 and a ball case installing base shutter 253 which are so arranged as to be slidable respectively across to the outer surface 106a of the bottom part of the ball case 106 and to the top surface 250a of the ball case installing base 105 and can open or close opening parts 107 and 252 opened respectively corresponding to the ball case 106 and the ball case installing base 105 to discharge the pachinko balls downward. The span H across from the respective shutters to the outer surface 106a of the bottom part and the top surface 250a is set larger than the diameter of a pachinko ball in the direction of sliding the shutters when they are closed.
