PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image processor and image processing method which simplifies setting performed by a CPU. SOLUTION: The image processor comprises: a first address generation means for generating an address corresponding to coordinates on the basis of a first start address being a start address in a first storing means of image data, a first width size being a size with respect to an X axial direction of a two-dimensional image and a set value of a first pixel size being a size for one pixel, wherein the two-dimensional image shown by the image data is an image on an XY plane, and coordinates in the XY plane are subjected to one-to-one correspondence with an address in a memory space in the first storing means that can store the image data; a setting means for setting the first start address, the first width size and the first pixel size in the first address generation means; a coordinate setting means for setting the coordinates in the first address generation means; and a transfer means for transferring only the first pixel size from the address generated by the first address generation means to a second storing means to be used when performing signal processing of the image data stored in the first storing means.
