PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, an external storage device and a control method, capable of releasing a duplex state of a disk, when driving a battery, capable of stopping an electric power source to a prescribed disk device, and capable of reducing an electric power consumption. SOLUTION: A RAID-1 is temporarily released when an electric power source supply method is determined as the battery 28, a HDD to stop the electric power source is determined to bring the plurality of HDDs 25-1, 25-2 respectively into an average electric power source stop frequency, based on electric power source stop history information stored in a flash memory 17, and the electric power source supply to the determined HDD 25-2 is stopped.
