PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure the pretilt angle of liquid crystal molecules for example, in a liquid crystal device where microlens are fabricated in. SOLUTION: A control part 150 acquires illuminance for each visual angleαin the direction of clear vision among the illuminance measured at step S10 (step S20). In step S20, the control part 150 creates a graph associated with viewing angle characteristics. In addition, in step S10, the illuminance of an image display area 10a may be measured for each visual angle with respect to only the direction of clear vision.
