PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a three-roller belt fixing device which is free of a fixation defect and whose fixing belt has a uniform and stable temperature distribution, and an electrophotographic recording device using the same. SOLUTION: In the fixing device such that a heat-resisting fixing belt is laid between a heating roller and a fixing roller and heated by the heating roller, a pressure roller is pressed against the heat-resisting fixing belt and fixing roller to form a nip part, and a recording medium having toner is inserted into the nip part to fix the recording medium, the thickness of the heat-resisting belt is formed to less than the thickness determined by the square root of the product of effective heat diffusivity of the heat-resisting fixing belt material and a time for which one arbitrary point on the heat-resisting fixing belt passes through a wind part of the heating roller. Namely, the thickness of the heat-resisting belt is made less than the thickness determined by the square root of the product of the effective heat diffusivity of the belt material and the winding time of the heat-resisting fixing belt.
