PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fireproof paste which forms a heat-resistant layer by a simple method even in an object requiring flexibility and follows the flexibility of the object formed by the heat-resistant layer. SOLUTION: The fireproof paste is obtained by mixing a rubber-like elastic material or an elastic coating as a substrate with a flame retardant and a fireproof material. The amount of the flame retardant is most preferably 1-20 parts by wt. and that of the fireproof material is 5-50 part by wt. of the fireproof material based on 100 parts by wt. of the base.
