<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prolong a service life of an electric storage device provided on an auxiliary power source unit while suppressing an increase in cost of the apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming apparatus is provide with: a main power source unit, a main heat generating body to which power is supplied from the main power source unit; an auxiliary power source unit with a specified electrical storage apparatus as a power source; and an auxiliary heat generating body to which power is supplied from the auxiliary power source unit, and a fixing roller is heated by the main heat generating body and the auxiliary heat generating body. In addition, the image forming apparatus is provided with a power source switching means selectively outputting one of the power supplied from the main power source apparatus or the power supplied from the auxiliary power source apparatus as the power source power for inside equipment other than the main heat generating body and the auxiliary heat generating body and a control means carrying out switching control for the power source power in the power source switching means according to the state of use. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
