<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a time for noise removal processing, and to prevent the contour of an imaged image from being blurred by the noise removal processing concerning an imaging apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: A microcomputer for control determines the position of a target pixel among pixels constituting the imaged image (S1); obtains the luminance values of the target pixel and adjacent pixels (S2); calculates a difference value between the largest luminance value and the smallest luminance value among the obtained luminance values (S3); determines a weighting coefficient for adding a fixed weight to the luminance values, based on the difference value (S4); and calculates a weighted average of the luminance values of the target pixel and the adjacent pixels through the use of the luminance value of the target pixel, the luminance values of the adjacent pixels, and the weighting coefficient (S5). The calculated weighted average is recorded in a conversion memory as the luminance value of the target pixel (S6). The weighting coefficient is changed, so as to be zero when the difference value is the largest, and to be one when the difference value is the smallest, and is reduced as the difference value becomes larger. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
