PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating electric machine for a vehicle that prevents an electrolyte or foreign matter from staying near the junction of stator windings. SOLUTION: The rotating electric machine for a vehicle has a rotor, a stator having a stator iron core, a plurality of conductor segments 33 with coatings equipped to the stator iron core, and a frame that supports the rotor and the stator. Each end 33e of a plurality of the conductor segments 33 in a rotation-axis direction of the rotor is radially and annularly arrayed and joined with each other so as to form each junction. There is no coating on the surface of the conductor segment 33 near each junction. An evaporation component included in the coating formed on the surface of the conductor segment 33 adjacent to the vicinity of each junction is set to less than 20,000 ppm.
